about

“Somewhere Between You & Me” is a labor of love, blood, sweat & tears. It’s about Heartbreak, change, lovers & friends. It’s not perfect by any means but that’s what I like about it. It’s like a walk down a dark road on the other-side of the tracks where I grew up with one foot in the now and the other in the past. A fool for love in a moment in time, waiting on the rain slow dancing under the street lights. This record is honest and from the bottom of my soul. It all started as demos for a record label that showed me some interest, but that didn’t pan out per usual. I’ve never really been one of the cool kids anyways, so I said F$?K EM! I’ll just put it out myself and see what happens. I Recorded the majority of the record in my bedroom with one mic also playing all the instruments, but then I thought screw that lets get some friends in on the fun. So I did just that. I recorded a song at Ardent Studios, Superman Ranch & Sun Studio. I had the pleasure of working with Pete Matthews, Curry Weber, Matt Ross-spang, Josh Cosby, Kait Lawson, Landon Moore, Richard Ford, Jessie Munson, Pat Fusco & John Emerson on a few tunes. The truth is i’ve fought with these songs and the idea of putting them out for a long time. It’s been a painful yet therapeutic record for me and I wasn’t sure if I wanted to put myself out there on such a personal note or throw the damn thing in the trash and set it on fire. I’ll just leave that part up to you. But i’m glad i did, i think?! I do know one thing for sure and that is I’m ready to let go of the past and move on down that winding road. This life’s not getting any longer. All we can do is jump off the cliff, live long enough to tell the story & hope the past doesn’t hang us on the way down.
